Academic Advising
PhD students in Baltic TRANSCOAST will be supervised by a committee of researchers from different departments ensuring interdisciplinarity of the work. A target agreement will be signed by the PhD student and the PhD committee. Regular discussions with the main supervisor and members of the committee are mandatory and will be documented guaranteeing an optimal work progress.
During the first few months each PhD student will develop her/his research concept based on the outlined research topic. This concept will serve as master plan along which the thesis is developed. The thesis shall be structured in work packages leading to publications in international journals.
