On January 2nd 2019 finally happened what Baltic TRANSCOAST - scientists have long been waiting for: Low-pressure system "Zeetje" resulted in the highest water levels since 1954 and caused a massive inflow of saltwater into the coastal peat land "Hütelmoor".
